Install an anti-Virus and anti-Spyware on your Laptop or Desktop

Make sure you did not access any financial or confidential sites over a public wireless connection
When in doubt of a site, don’t shop there
Don’t ever reply to unsolicited emails
Your personal information in online postings and personal web pages should be minimal
Don’t ever give out your social security number online
